Hoptroop Rondo terms of service

These terms are an agreement between you (the merchant, or the business you act for) and Hoptroop Technologies, a registered trade name of Karthikeyan Lakshminarayanan M Iyer (GSTIN: 29ABEPL0099B1ZT) ("Hoptroop", "we"), for your use of Hoptroop Rondo ("Rondo"), including rondo.hoptroop.com. By installing Rondo or signing in you accept them. If you accept for a business, you confirm you can bind it.

What Rondo does

Rondo connects to your Shopify store and to channels you choose, such as email, SMS, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and Instagram. It uses AI to draft personalised messages to your customers and to answer customers who message or comment on your accounts, and shows you analytics on how those messages perform.

Your account

You are responsible for the people you give access to, for keeping sign-in details secure, and for the accuracy of what you tell us. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.

You are responsible for your messages

• Your customers, your messages. You decide what is sent, to whom, and whether it is approved first or automated. AI drafts can be wrong or unsuitable; you are responsible for reviewing what you approve and for the settings you automate.
• Consent and law. You must have the consent and legal basis required to contact each customer on each channel, and you must follow the laws and rules that apply to your messaging, including anti-spam, telemarketing and consumer-protection law, and the rules of carriers and of Meta, WhatsApp and Shopify. Rondo honours opt-outs it receives, but you remain responsible for compliance.
• Third-party platforms. Rondo depends on Shopify, Meta and messaging providers. Their rules and availability are outside our control, and they may restrict or remove your access to them.

Acceptable use

Do not use Rondo to send unlawful, deceptive, harassing or unsolicited messages, to send content about prohibited goods or services, to infringe others' rights, or to probe, disrupt or reverse-engineer the service. We may suspend access that breaches this.

Your data

You keep ownership of your store and customer data. You give us permission to process it to provide Rondo to you, as described in the privacy policy. For your customers' personal data we act on your behalf, and you are responsible for having the right to share it with us.

Fees

Paid plans, their prices and billing are shown when you subscribe, and are billed through Shopify where Shopify billing applies. Features and pricing may change with notice. Fees already paid are not refunded unless the law requires it.

Early access

While Rondo is in early access, features may change, be unavailable or be withdrawn, and joining the waitlist does not guarantee access.

Our intellectual property

Rondo, its software and its branding belong to Hoptroop. We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Rondo for your business while these terms apply.

No warranty

Rondo is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise uninterrupted service, error-free output, or any particular sales or retention result.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for lost profits or revenue, and our total liability for claims arising from Rondo is limited to the fees you paid us for Rondo in the 12 months before the claim. You will cover us against claims from your customers or regulators arising from messages you chose to send or from your breach of these terms.

Ending these terms

You can stop at any time by uninstalling Rondo. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms or if we have to stop offering Rondo. When your access ends we handle your data as set out in the data deletion page.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction.

Changes

We may update these terms by posting a new version on this page and, for material changes, notifying you. Continued use after that means you accept the update.
